How to Start a Business In Down Economy

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Entrepreneurship is on an upswing considering the last few years’ economic conditions and job market. New businesses are opening online and in mini-malls all around the country. Each of these driven business owners has a vision of what their business can offer to the local or global community. They know what their products or services are, and how they can make them stand out from their competition both online and in the market.

They also know how to sell their business to potential clients. However, many prospective small business owners aren’t sure how to start a business, without missing crucial steps that can kill the process before it even begins.

  1. What Will you Call your Business? Choosing an available business name in your state is not only a vital step to start a business, but can be a lot more time intensive that many people expect. It needs to draw attention to itself and also needs to give some perspective on what your company will do. AND, it has to be available for registration within your state of business. Your state business bureau will be able to guide you through the naming stage of your business.
  2. Register your Business. Your state website should offer either online registration options or have a contact name in their business division to discuss registering your new business. Oftentimes, these online options offer step by step instructions for opening a business in your state. Be sure to dot all your i’s and cross all your t’s as you start a business to ensure that you will not have problems with the state or federal government along the way..
  3. Get the Word Out. Just because you’ve opened your business doesn’t mean that anyone knows you exist. Using a mix of traditional and web marketing can get the word out about your new endeavor and start bringing in prospects.

Web Design Cost – Top Website Design

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Web design cost depends on many different quality parameters, so as a rule of thumb Web design costs an amount money proportional to design quality, so in order to get a good web page design with good quality parameters including a good website content written by an expert technical writer and a good theme design by an expert theme designer, you have to expect paying expensive fees in return, typically best web designers have more than just one web design certificate, some of them can even design a theme or create web design backgrounds, and please remember that theme design is a big science which is much more than buying a book to teach you how to design theme, besides theme design needs a long practice and experience, such an experience avoids bad web design resulting from bad theme designs, please note that theme design is not a single design branch where it is divided into other sub branches, so in order to find an expert themes designer, you have to search in the right places or you may get an interior design theme designer instead.

Web site design companies normally take expensive fees much more than the fees you may give to individual web designers; and they usually look for the rich customers willing to pay those expensive fees, so typically you will find that more than 90% of their website projects are corporate web site design projects.

We have to remember that those expensive fees paid to website design companies are worthy, they give you facilities that you can never have if you give your design job to an individual designer, for example they give you the chance to make web design navigation where you can find a wide variety of website designs which will be more satisfactory to a customer than finding himself forced to accept the single design offered to him by an individual designer, instead, you choose the design you like among hundreds of designs, they also offer you themes designs, where the themed design is the most popular website design nowadays, besides a good web design theme gives a good impression to the user.

If you plan to have your own business online then you have to have your own website. It will be an advantage if you know how to design your own website. You can express your ideas well and you can create web design backgrounds according to your business theme.

If you think that you can’t make your own website then you can hire services of best web designers from web site design companies. You can meet with these top web designers and discuss your project with them. Most of the corporate companies have asks the best web design company to make their corporate web site design.

Remember that a good web page design even if simple is important because it conveys effectively to your audience. So lets take a look and take the difference between a well design website and not.

Unless you are an expert in web designing then I guess there is no need for you to hire web designer but if you are still novice in this field then I suggest you leave it to the hands of the experts. You can experiment or do your own if it’s just a personal web site but if it’s for business purposes then you definitely hire the best for this service.

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Company History

Maakoa opened it’s door’s on the 4th of july 2009 with a big bang after they held the title sponsor for the Stadium Of Fire, which was held at the LaVell stadiumn in Utah.

Maakoa is an MLM company that markets a health drink called Kupowaa. Their mission, they say is about personal development and a culture of excellence. Maakoa attempts to save your health and help you attain financial freedom through the MLM business opportunity they offer.

The Founders

When analyzing an opportunity it is imperative to scope out the leadership. If the leadership is poor at the top then the company is likely to flop and if it is strong then the company is likely to stay around for a long time.

The Founders of Maakoa are, Bruce Davis the President and CEO, David Simpson, Todd Kirkpatrick and Jeff Bruning.

If you go to the company website you’ll get some info on these men and it all sounds impressive. They each have vast experience in the business world. Jeff bruning the Vice President of marketing and events himself has over 30 years of experience in Network Marketing.

The Company seems to have great leadership, the founders are all experienced and know what they’re doing. Sounds good so far.

The Products

Maakoa has 3 product’s in it’s line-up so far, Kupowaa MXP3 Lean Protein and MXP3 Build Protein.

Kupowaa is their flagship and it contains Acai berry, Pomegranate and Blueberry with some cupuaca fruit added in.

These ingredients are said to be powerful anti-oxidants, however I’d just like to point out that I’m not scientist so I can’t prove this.

I’d like to stay in the business aspect of Maakoa so moving on swiftly.

The Compensation Plan

Maakoa has a Compensation Plan that’s quite standard in this industry. There are retail and preferred customer sales, fast start bonuses, team commissions, etc. etc. it all boils down to this. You have to find customers that like the products and put them on autoship and recruit Maakoa independent distributors who will do the same.

Conclusion

Maakoa sounds like a great business opportunity and it is a great business opportunity. It has straong leaders as founders who have a great work ethic, products that are in demand and in line with the health and wellness industry.

Maakoa is quite a new MLM but has already begun to stand out in it’s chosen industry.

No experience in this industry? Go ahead and join and then fall flat on your face. You see, when it comes to success in network marketing it all boils down to one thing: Lead Generation.

The products won’t sell themselves no matter how much you wish they would. You have to Market and generate your own leads if you want success in this industry.

If you can learn this ONE SKILL:MARKETING, then you can have success in any company I guarantee it.

This is Anam Uddin and I think Maakoacould work for you if you’re passionate about health. But You need to learn how to create bridges from your prospects to you and then your products.

Free Online Paid Surveys – Great Business Opportunities To Earn Money

Monday, December 21st, 2009

In the wake of the recent recession, people are catching on that free online paid surveys are great business opportunities to earn money. A paid survey usually consists of questions administered to individuals regarding a particular product or service. Therefore, it should come of no surprise that many marketing firms are taking advantages of these free online paid surveys. The questions asked elicit your opinion in either an open-ended format, where you come up with your own answer to the questions posed or closed-ended format, where you pick the answer from the options given. The room to make a lot of money here is so great because your opinion is worth a great deal to those administering the free online surveys. Without insight into the way their consumers feel about their products or services, they have no way of improving them and making more money themselves. You opinion is valuable and what better way is there to get paid then to be brutally honest? Read our free online paid surveys’ reviews and find where the easiest money is at productreviewsonline.com!

The Process of Completing Free Online Paid Surveys

In order to start making money fast through free online paid surveys, you will need to sign up with a website that offers paid surveys. Usually, this will entail setting up a member profile where you inform the administrator where you live, how old you are, what your educational level is etc. These are just basic personal questions so that the administrator knows which surveys are appropriate for you. If the website and survey is legitimate, you can assure that any information given is kept confidential. After completing the free online paid surveys’ member profile, you can expect to get notified when the administrator has found a survey that matches your background. This notification will tell you how much you will be getting paid, for merely offering your honest opinions, how long the survey should take you to complete, and where you can find the survey. Finally, you will complete the free online paid survey by giving your opinions on the questions posed through either an open-ended or closed-ended format as discussed above. Usually, free online paid surveys do not take longer than 20 minutes to complete. Though payment varies and can go up to $50 per survey, the sky is the limit in terms of how many surveys you can complete a day.

Making the Most with Free Online Paid Surveys

While there are many means of completing Paid Surveys, free online paid surveys are becoming increasingly popular compared to their mailing or phone questionnaire counterparts. For one, these surveys can be completed at your own pace and you can do as many of them as you’d like. Also, free online surveys can be completed from home, anytime of the day or night, using your own family computer. However, there are some ways to optimize your chances of experiencing these benefits. First, signing up for as many free online paid surveys websites as possible will better your chances of getting picked to participate. Remember that administrators are online looking for consumers whose opinion are most relevant to their product or service so the more you get your name out there the better your chances of getting noticed are. Further, when you do get chosen to participate in a free online paid survey you should respond as quickly as possible as there are many people getting chosen to participate as well. You wouldn’t want to lose your spot to make easy money fast! Finally, make sure that you update your member profiles on the free online paid surveys’ websites so that you better your chances of becoming a qualified participant.

Richard Moore has written hundreds of reviews on Business opportunities like Paid Surveys, Real Estate, Internet Business, etc; that will help you in improving your economic success. Get going with well designed label for your products

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Labels are used to promote the products of the organization among the prospective customers. Well designed labels present the products to the customers in the market in an impressive manner. A marketer should be able to create a label that is visually appealing and exquisite. A good label provides complete information about the product as well as its company. It carries the identity of the company. A viewer can associate the product with the organization. The label has the potential to grab the attention of the viewer at a glance. An entrepreneur should be able to design the label effectively and efficiently. A label is an affordable promotional tool to advertise the product expediently. Therefore, the label should be designed carefully and thoughtfully.
Designing unique Label:
A marketer should first study the product thoroughly. He should decide which unique quality he wants to highlight and communicate to the customer. The label will be able to convey the message of the marketer to the prospective customers. If it is a food product, you can print the ingredients of the product. You can also highlight the nutritional value or any other special feature of the product. An entrepreneur can deploy the high quality paper material for printing the label. You can use the paper with glossy finish. Good quality paper mirrors the image of the company. The printing ink should also be of good quality. You can make use of vegetable-based ink. This ink is eco-friendly whereas poor quality inks are chemical based that is harmful for the environment. A designer can also make use of lucrative designs patterns to make the label visually appealing. You can also make use of brilliant colors that reflect the organization. The fonts should be simple in appearance. Simply designed labels can make the label appear elegant and lucrative. If necessary you can also use gradient or shadow effects on the label. It can create greater visual impact for the viewer.

Don’t Work with Jerks: How to Recognize a Difficult Client Early

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Five minutes into the call I knew this client was going to make my life miserable. The problem was, I already said “Yes.”

Into every professional practice falls a little rain, or better said…walks in a nightmare client. You start losing sleep by a couple of hours every night, you keep thinking about her project during your lunch time, and you feel like your life has been taken over by this client.

What a nightmare! Didn’t we go into the business for ourselves to enjoy it? Do we not have the choice of who to work with? Of course, we do! The challenge is in recognizing a difficult client early enough to say “No.”

So how do you do that? First, determine what “difficult” means to you. It may mean different things to different people. For example, while some professionals will be happy to take a phone call from a client between 9 and 5, others may have a special time set aside for phone calls. While some business owners love getting detailed specifications for a project, others may feel trapped and limited in their creativity.

1. What is a difficult client

To help you decide what things may be important to you, here are some of the most common traits of difficult clients:

- They do not respect your time

- They tell you how to do your work

- They always check up on you

- They constantly change their mind about a project

- They knit pick over every detail

- They try to intimidate you into doing things you haven’t agreed to

- They treat you as if they’re the boss and you are the employee

- They have little respect for your expertise

- They call you at a non-scheduled time

- They frequently e-mail you with questions, requiring long replies

- They ask you to throw in a few extras without offering to pay extra

- They keep reminding you how high your fees are

- They are frequently disappointed with your work

- They won’t pay on time, but ask you to continue working with them

- They frequently cancel or reschedule your meetings

- They believe they’re your only client, & demand your full attention

You can complete this list by adding a few other traits that you find annoying or unacceptable in your business, or to your life style.

2. Red flags: Early warnings of a difficult client

Once you know what’s important to you, how do you look for signs that this may be a difficult client? First of all, listen to your intuition. It’s easy to ignore the red flags, especially if you’re hungry for business.

“Your gut is never wrong,” one IT consultant said. “Whenever I’ve ended up with a nightmare client, it’s because I didn’t listen to my instinct and I went for the zeroes.”

Listen to your instinct. Additionally, do your best to avoid clients that:

- Don’t want to sign a contract

- Are in a rush

- Are looking for the cheapest provider

- Are your friends and relatives

Create a profile of your ideal client, and check every prospect against it before taking them on. “This is crazy!” you may be thinking. “Won’t choosing clients so carefully cost me business?” Not really.

Usually, you will spend more time on a difficult client (time that you could spend prospecting, working with other clients, or simply taking a break), your mood and personal life may become affected by this project, and you may even end up not being paid at all!

Screen your prospects carefully, and instantly improve the quality of your business life.

3. Assessments – your best friend in screening clients

After reading this, you may be thinking that screening takes too much work and time. Bear with me, because this task has just become as easy as 1-2-3.

You can completely automate the screening process, by asking your prospects to complete an assessment before you take them on.

The questions you ask should include the things that are important to you as a business owner, and as a person. You may ask them about how they worked with professionals in the past, what their style of communication is, how much time they plan to devote to this project, what their deadline is, how committed they are to completing it, and so on. Refer to your ideal client profile when putting together a list of questions.

The fact that they’re willing to spend time answering an extensive list of questions already shows that this is a serious prospect, and helps you weed out as many “time-wasters” as possible.

4. Automating your screening process

So how do you actually automate the screening process? Very simple. You can use AssessmentGenerator.com, a tool that allows you to create your own forms and assessments, and have them on your web site within minutes. Whenever you get a new prospect, send them a link to your online assessment and ask them to complete it before your first call.

Assessment Generator does not require you to know any HTML or install any scripts. Simply enter your questions and the e-mail address, where you want to receive completed assessments, and it’s ready to be added to your site.

You can also create self-scoring assessments, where you and your prospect can see a score based on how they answered questions. Self-scoring assessments are great when you want to work only with clients who reached a certain level of readiness in something. For example, you may only want to work with business owners who understand the importance of marketing. Their assessment score will show you how ready they are to work with you.

Conclusion

Many professionals already conduct assessments when they first meet their clients. The problem is, they do it over the telephone, which means they have to set aside a half-hour or more to determine if this prospect is their ideal client. If he or she is not, then they have just wasted their precious time, which could’ve been spent on a more productive activity.

Automating the screening process with AssessmentGenerator.com will make your life easier and business more enjoyable. Here’s to ideal clients and a stress-free business!

How to Deal with Competition in Coaching

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Ask any coach if they’re worried about competition, and you may get a variety of interesting responses.

Some will tell you that they’re the only life coach in their area, so they’re not worried. Others will say that they’re abundant thinkers and worrying about competition just isn’t a part of their mentality.

But with at least 40,000 coaches and hundreds of new ones entering the field every year, how do you not “drown in the sea” of such a fast growing industry?

The truth is, coaching is an extremely competitive field. Most coaches will not send a referral to another coach, and many will become frantic if another coach decides to enter their “territory.”

The reason this is happening, is because coaches look alike to potential clients. A prospect thinking of hiring a coach, cannot tell the difference! We all offer accountability, lifestyle improvement, personal growth, better jobs, healthier relationships, and so on. How can an average person make a decision of who to hire?

In my experience of working through ACCPOW and rubbing shoulders with some of the most successful coaches in the industry, there are five factors that will make you unique and eliminate most of your worries about competition.

Here they are:

1. Target Audience – having a specific target audience will allow you to customize all your materials and marketing messages to the people you want to attract. If you can’t visualize the person you’re speaking to, your writing may become diluted and generic, making you look just like any other coach out there.

2. Specialty – even if you chose a target audience to focus on, you need to know what problem you can help them solve, or what goal you can help them accomplish. In other words, you need to specialize and become known as the #1 coach in your niche.

3. Visibility – don’t “lay low.” Clients will not just magically appear out of thin air. Every month, every week you must do something that gets you in front of your target audience. Articles, teleseminars, workshops, newsletters, speaking gigs, and other ways to create visibility is what every successful coach does.

4. Credibility – coaches with impressive testimonials, success stories, and information products demonstrating their expertise are much more likely to stand out than the ones without any of the above.

Even if you work within a specialized field, there may be other coaches who to target your clients. They’re doing just as much marketing as you do, and possess a great amount of credibility.

How do you make yourself unique in this environment? The only way to avoid direct “competition” is to understand and implement the fifth factor.

5. Personality – some clients will be attracted to you because of your personality. They will not be oriented, patient, aggressive, funny, compassionate, etc.) bring them out in your writings and marketing materials. This will make you unique, attract your ideal clients, and eliminate any “competition” – because there is no one else just like you!
