The Company
LifeVantage is a publicly owned MLM that was opened to the public in 2003. Life Vantage is the manufacturer and distributor of dietary supplements. Even though they started out as retail in 2003 they switched to an MLM business model in january of 2009.
LifeVantage seems to want to compete in the health and wellness market by emphasizing science in it’s marketing message.
The Products
LifeVantage has 2 products in it’s arsenal, Protandim which is their centrepiece and TrueScience which is an anti-aging cream.
Protandim is said to be the only supplement to be clinically proven to reduce aging. It achieves this by destroying up to 1 million free radical cells a second without it being used up or lost in the metabolic system.
TrueScience is simply Protandim in the form of a cream where users are supposed to get the same results by applying the cream to the skin.
The Compensation Plan
LifeVantage is a Network Marketing company so you basically have to find customers who like the products and recruit people into the business who will find customers who like the products and recruit others into the business.
LifeVantage has 9 levels of compression which means that you’ll get commissions 9 levels deep on your downline.
How You Can Be Successful
LifeVantage truly has an edge in the marketplace because they have a product that is closer to science than most others. However most people will still fail because they aren’t willing to take on the most important part of this business:
MARKETING
When you join a network marketing company they give you products but you are the advertising agency. Your Marketing is the bridge that connects your customers to the products and the bridge that connects your prospects to your business opportunity.
Another problem that you’ll run into when you join LifeVantage is the system. They have a system that’s designed for them to get maximum value but it’s not duplicatable so you don’t get that same value.
And last you probably won’t have enough people to talk to on a daily basis. In Network Marketing or any other business you need volume.
You need a marketing system that will present you and your opportunity so you can generate an abundance of leads. The law of averages says you need at least 20-30 leads a day to sponsor at least 1 person a week into your company.
