Like To Join Tampogo? Here’s What To Expect
Are you considering joining Tampogo? Tampogo is an online shopping site that launched in the summer of 2009 employing a multi-level marketing plan.
First off I want to state that Tampogo has many things in it’s favor and it is actually a business that is creating a lot of buzz.
However because it’s compensation plan is very simple and straightforward as well as potentially quite lucrative Tampogo is bringing in quite a few people who have no experience in the networking arena. If you are new to MLM and thinking of joining Tampogo I want to give you an idea of what you should expect.
Many people who are just getting into MLM don’t realize how many companies have either launched or are launching that employ the MLM business model. No matter what people’s image may be, the model works. Not only is it here to stay but it’s expanding enormously. The fact that a company has elected to employ multi-;evel marketing has much less to do with whether or not the company will be sucessful than the quality of management of ownership of the given company.
Tampogo looks good here. Chuck Stebbins is the CEO and has long been a pioneer in internet marketing, and has sold in excess of 1.5 billion dollars in product on the internet. He also was one of the co-founders of the original parent company of Myspace.
Isaac McLemore is the master distributor who had previously been the master distributor of Metabolife. This pair bring enormous experience and wherewithal to Tampogo. It is my firm belief that they will not allow this company to fail-period.
So I feel that the chance to join a company early on that is run by these gentlemen represents an enormous opportunity to participate in a business that will most probably be highly successful and may undergo tremendous growth.
Another important factor is that it’s free to join. The premise is that you save money buying products that you purchase anyway. The MLM structure allows the company to operate with low overhead and lower costs benefits all involved.
The third positive factor in Tampogo’s favor is the charitable component to the business. Every time someone buys a qualified item it (which is any product over about twenty bucks) generates a donation to Feed My Starving Chilldren.org which is sufficient to feed a starving child for a week. This charitable organization passes through an extremely high percentage of what it takes in to the final recipients.
So you can see why I am high on this company. Good people at the top, extremely competitively priced products, a generous compensation plan and an excellent charitable component.
So what more would anyone need to know? All those who join should expect nothing but spectacular success right? Unfortunately, probably not.
As I said, the company is attracting many inexperienced network marketers because of all of the positive elements that it has assembled. Many see the logic. They get it. They just shouldn’t expect that everyone else will. Don’t forget this is network marketing and it still has a negative image throughout most of the general population.
You need to be prepared for people to scoff and respond with extreme skepticism. Some of the most common responses you will get are:
1.) It seems too good to be true
2.) Why haven’t I heard of it?
3.) It’s some kind of scam
4.) No one makes money except the first few involved (pyramid scheme)
5.) How can they afford to pay out that much
6.) Any number of other negative comments
You should expect that most of your friends that you try to recruit will NOT join. They will probably insinuate that you are being silly and naïve and that these things never work.
Be prepared for the fact that the friends who do join will do very little. It is quite likely that they will not even recruit anyone at all.
With human nature being what it is and the drive to rationalize our failure so strong, they will soon tell you that there is nothing good to buy on the site.
At this time there is some validity to that argument as the selection is not yet overly wide (but it is getting larger on a regular basis). That’s one of the tradeoffs you make for being involved so early and one you should deal with clearly with your recruits prior to signing them up. It really isn’t a legitimate concern but only an excuse that can be used later to explain failure. There are more than enough items to choose from and more are coming every month.
If you are going to get involved you need to accept the fact that most people that you know most likely are not good candidates to run a business. They either don’t want a business or will not be willing to ask other acquaintances to join one. When they experience even the most minimal level of rejection they will withdraw no matter how enthusiastic they had professed to be about doing the business.
You should know that you will need to recruit MANY more people than any “eight who get eight” model would predict. That’s just how it is. just about all the people you bring in will fail.
So am I telling you not to get in? No. Remember I said Tampogo had many positives going for it. I just don’t want you thinking your business will run on autopilot. It will take work and persistence if you are to make any money.
In fact, the way I recommend to market Tampogo is to approach no more than five or ten people you know who you think would truly have the ability to succeed in business. It really takes a specific type. The rewards can be enormous but only if one is really determined to make it happen. The required traits are:
1.) Desire-you can’t convince someone to be in a business they don’t really want
2.) Ambition-if they don’t have a burning desire to be sucessful, they’ll give up when it isn’t easy
3.) Resourcefulness-they have engage their brain power to devise and effect a business plan
4.) Tenacity-unyielding persistence
You will have to present your business to a lot of prospects if you are to find the right partners. This is where most network marketers fail as they only approach a very small number of prospects.
This is why I recommend only talking to five to ten people you know. Most of them can’t or won’t do what it takes to be successful.
The best way to market Tampogo today is on the internet. There are large numbers of people looking for business opportunities online and there are more every day. It is the only way you can reach the numbers of people necessary for success. And here you can find people who are actually motivated to work and understand and embrace multi-level marketing.
Almost every MLM company today has internet marketers as it’s top producers. If you know what you are doing it is incredibly easy to generate many leads every day. These are people who are qualified and interested that you are able to talk to about your business. A percentage of these will inevitably join you.
Tampogo is an especially good business to market online because of the free entry and the universality of it’s products.
If you decide to join Tampogo find a sponsor who can serve as your mentor and will show you how to market your business over the internet. You will be extremely well positioned to cash in on the explosive growth that I believe Tampogo is poised to undergo in the next few years. It can be a tremendous business to be involved with but you need to go in with your eyes wide open. Only then can you realistically hope to gain any level of success.
