The trend of telecommuting also permits moms to return to those times when they were able to stay home with their kids and husband. A home based job will offer a supplementary income or primary income for those who decide to work from home full-time. It also do away with the cost of day care in most cases, the primary reason a lot of mothers stop working even if they require a supplementary source of income. Most likely as we move farther into the 21st century the number of people choosing to work from home will increase further thus decreasing the need for day care centers and great reducing the number of latch key kids.
